May 31 – June 3, 2019 || Deepening Awareness: Four Day Silent Retreat || Krishnamurti / Swanwick Centre, Vancouver Island
“Retreat is not set apart from life, but is a deep plunge into the nature of existence” - Adyashanti
At a certain point in life, there is a stirring within to stop running and to dive deep into all that we are. Something calls us to connect to our center and witness our capacity for wisdom, stillness and openness. Even the slightest curiosity towards transformation through silence should not be ignored. More than ever, our world needs more beings that are clear, aware and connected to deep presence. More than ever our taxed nervous systems and depleted adrenals need to be filled by simply turning the focus within, and listening for all the insights.
Join Carolyn for this unique 4-day opportunity to press pause on the noise of daily life and wake up to the workings of the mind, heart and body. On retreat, we will engage in restorative & hatha yoga, seated & walking meditations, journalling & self-inquiry, and many periods of noble silence. Our time together will also include feeding the body with wholesome vegetarian meals and feeding the mind with daily lectures related to un-learning our conditioned beliefs with gentleness. Gift yourself with any extra rest or nature time you deem necessary…
Our home for the weekend will be at the oceanfront Swanwick Centre (Krishnamurti Educational Centre of Cda) near Victoria, BC. This beautiful property is just a 40 minute drive from the Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal on Vancouver Island. More on the property HERE.

Saturday Sept 8th, 1:30-4pm || Restorative & Meditation for Fall Transitions || One Yoga for the People, Vancouver
It’s no secret – life is full of ups and downs. Life can be chaotic physically & mentally and all experiences live in the cells of our bodies. When we don’t create time to acknowledge or heal the imbalances in our nervous systems & emotional layers, we are at risk for the heaviness of various diseases and anxiety.
Welcome in a new season with Carolyn. Join her for an afternoon of meditation and restorative yoga – the sweetest aspects of the yoga practice that are often neglected. These practices emphasize conscious breathing & conscious relaxation, which cause a slowed heart rate, slowed breathing, better digestion and immunity. We will clarify the realness of our inner turmoil, and provide space for boldly greeting the shift towards fall.
Come to create physical ease in the hips and the spine. Come to sink into healing meditations on manifestation & trust. Quite simply, you can expect to slow right down, dive into tension hidden within yourself and set it free. For the long-term, you will sleep better, breathe deeper .and feel like you’ve come home to a more integrated version of yourself.
Stop all the ‘doing’, learn how to relax and discover true balance.
