Oct. 28th 2-4pm || Calm Rebel Meditation & Breathwork for Anxiety || YYoga Downtown Flow

Are you easily swept away into anxious thoughts about situations that are out of your control? Do you find yourself distracted, all too often, worrying about the past or the future?

The practice of meditation, specifically of breath awareness, can bring us into the present moment and into the wisdom of our innermost core, the wisdom that wants to remind us that we are good enough, that we can change the thoughts telling us otherwise. All that’s required is practice, compassion and a willingness to truly face all the aspects of oneself.

Join Carolyn in this all-levels workshop to identify and cope with physical and mental stress. We will explore meditations using calming pranayama/breathwork and a bit of journaling to affirm which processes suit you best.  You will leave feeling grounded in a deeper understanding of how to create clarity within your thoughts and how to evoke gentleness towards your process.

All levels welcome.  There will be opportunities for questions.

Seated and reclined meditations and breathing exercises will be practiced.

Register HERE.

Nov 25 & Dec 15 || How to slow down with meditation & restorative yoga || One Yoga for the People, Vancouver

  • Sunday Nov 25  1:45-3:45 Heart Poses & Softening Stuck Thoughts

  • Saturday Dec 15 1:45-3:45 Hip Poses & Inviting Presence Into The Storm

It’s no secret – life is full of ups and downs. Life can be chaotic physically & mentally and all these experiences live in the cells of our bodies. When we don’t create time to acknowledge or heal the imbalances in our nervous systems & emotional layers, we are at risk for various types of disease and anxiety.

Join Carolyn for two afternoons of two simple meditations and a restorative yoga session – the sweetest aspects of the yoga practice that are often neglected.  In meditation and restorative yoga, there’s an emphasis on conscious breathing & conscious relaxation which lead to a slowed heart rate, slowed breathing, better digestion and immunity.

You can expect to slow right down and release the tension tucked tight into all the crevasses of the body and mind. You will sleep better, breathe deeper and feel like you’ve come home to a more integrated version of yourself.

Be a rebel: stop all the ‘doing’ and tune in while relaxing in order to create change.

$30 each or $50 for both - Registration opening soon.
